The Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, is at 76 Orange Street, Gardens, in its own grounds at the top of the Company’s Garden, with Table Mountain behind. It was painted pink for peace in 1918, at the end of the First World War, in Belmond’s words, and its afternoon tea, served in the historic Lounge, is a Cape Town institution.
