About Montebello Design Centre
Montebello is a not-for-profit design centre in Newlands, with 25 arts and craft studios and workshops, a historic greenhouse and nursery, and a restaurant. It occupies the old Montebello farm buildings, once the birthplace of Ohlssons Brewery and Continental China; Cecil Michaelis’s bequest founded it, working with the University of Cape Town.
